Dear Cherokee Families,

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through November and wrapping up another great week here at school! This past week was filled with meaningful moments, excitement, and even a hint of winter weather. Here’s a quick look at some of the highlights:

⭐ Veterans Day Program 

On Tuesday, our school community came together for a truly special Veterans Day Program. It was a beautiful tribute to honor the men and women who have served our country. A heartfelt "thank you" goes out to our participating students - our Scouts, fifth-grade performers, and our readers - for helping make the morning so memorable. We also extend our sincere appreciation to:

• Mr. Alex Argo, for leading the Scouts,

• Mrs. Kelsey Randall, our talented music teacher,

• Mr. Todd Caulfield, for creating the Veteran slideshow,

• Mr. Cory Mason and Mr. Alex Lammers, for audio/visual support, and

• Back Porch Petals, for the generous donation that allowed us to present each of our veterans with a flower.

It was a morning filled with gratitude, pride, and community spirit - thank you to all who joined us or watched the recording online. Please be sure to check out some of our event photos below. 

🏰 Disney Raffle Results - Thank You for Your Support!

What an incredible success! Thanks to your generosity, our Disney Raffle raised over $24,000 for our school! These funds will directly support student programs and activities throughout the year. A BIG congratulations to our raffle winners:

• Renee M. and student Honora C., EACH winning $3,000 in Disney Gift Cards, and a special shoutout to:

• Student Hannah H., our top seller, who sold an amazing 244 raffle tickets and earned a $50 Disney Gift Card!

A huge thank-you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and helped make this fundraiser such a magical success!

❄️ Cold Weather Reminder

We got a surprise peek at winter weather this week, which is a reminder that colder days are on the way. As temperatures drop, wearing hats, coats, and gloves can help students stay warm during recess. Labeling these items is also a big help in making sure they make it back home. We will continue to go outside for recess as long as the temperature (with windchill factored in) is above 20°F.
