Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful Winter Break and enjoyed some special time with family and friends. It’s so great to have our students back in the building as we officially kick off 3rd Quarter and begin the second half of the school year. I’m excited about what lies ahead for our Cheetahs and look forward to finishing the year strong together!

What a joyful and memorable week it has been at Cherokee! Even with a snow day on Monday, our short week was absolutely packed with fun, laughter, and holiday cheer. From festive caroler guests to thoughtful PTA surprises that brought smiles to staff and students alike, there was no shortage of special moments.

Happy (snowy) Friday! ❄️ We’ve officially wrapped up our winter MAP testing (except for a few make-ups), and I couldn’t be more proud of our students. They brought focus, perseverance, and a positive attitude to each testing session, and it truly showed. Thank you for supporting your child through this important benchmark period - we’re excited to use the results to guide instruction and keep their growth moving forward!

I hope you all enjoyed the snow day this week! While it made for an unexpected midweek break, our students jumped right back into learning as we began MAP Testing for our 5th and 6th graders. Thank you for helping ensure they are well-rested and ready to do their best.

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through November and wrapping up another great week here at school! This past week was filled with meaningful moments, excitement, and even a hint of winter weather. Here’s a quick look at some of the highlights:

It’s been another wonderful week here with our staff and students! On Tuesday, our staff participated in a productive Professional Development Day, and Thursday brought another successful evening of Parent-Teacher Conferences. Today also marks the final day of our student-favorite Disney Raffle!

Thank you to everyone who joined in on our spirit days and all the fun events happening around the building this week!  A special shoutout goes to our students and families for your amazing effort in selling Disney raffle tickets - your enthusiasm and support are truly making a difference for our school community.

What a week to celebrate! 🎉I am so proud and excited to share that Cherokee has moved up from 4 stars to 4.5 stars on Ohio’s State Report Card Star Ratings! This is a huge accomplishment, and it speaks to the dedication, hard work, and teamwork of our amazing staff, students, and families. Together, we are building a school community where every Cheetah can thrive!
